Equine Orientation Program - Saturday, April 10, from 10 am to noon. Whether you're young or old, come learn the basics of horse care. We've designed this program for those who are thinking of buying or adopting a horse, want to join the BSER Horsemanship program, will volunteer at BSER, or who simply want to learn more about horses through hands-on experience. Kids (young & old) will receive a "Hands On Horses" certificate by completing the program. Pre-registration is appreciated. E-mail info@BayStateEquineRescue.org and let us know how many to expect. Horsemanship Program! - Starting Saturday, May 15. True horsemanship starts long before your foot goes in the stirrup. As any horse person will tell you, riding is a reward for the many hours spent on the daily upkeep and maintenance of a horse. This program includes all aspects of horse care and management, as well as riding. It is open to all ability levels. Click here for the Program Application.

June 27th from 10 – 3pm. Jessica Chickering will be holding a Natural Horsemanship Clinic Fundraiser with all money raised going to Bay State Equine Rescue.
The cost for this clinic is $45 per horse. Auditing is free!

Bay State Equine Rescue Annual Sponsored Trail Ride - July 11th “Rise And Shine” “Raise and Support”
Location: Old Sturbridge Village
Registration: 6 a.m.
Ride Out 7 a.m.
This year our ride supports two worthy causes, Bay State Equine Rescue and Old Sturbridge Village.
Take a ride through yesteryear when horses were the only way to get around. Ride right through downtown Sturbridge Village.
There is no fee to participate on this ride. You simply solicit sponsors from your friends, co-workers, neighbors and relatives who would like to help our worthy cause, but, don’t know how. You offer them the opportunity to support our equine friends and Old Sturbridge Village at the same time. The minimum sponsorship is $40, you can get a t-shirt for $75, and additional prizes for the top fund raisers. All horses get a gift of treats. Brunch will be served after the ride.

Seventh Annual Gigantic Yard Sale - Saturday, August 7, from 8 am to 3 pm. We've done it before, and we'll do it again. We're just not sure the Rutland Grange Hall on Route 122A is going to be big enough!
